You are absolutely wrong in your analysis. The writer is talking about something that brings him joy and uses the motif of events found in nature and the joy they bring. The writer then goes on to impart that these joys come to him unbidden, and then wonders if these joys have come to him by mistake, thus implying a Higher Agency implicit in the belief system of the writer.
